Bogdan Novitsky and Vitaly Evtekhov, the crew of our team were the first through the SS1. They were 10 seconds faster than their competitors at the 4-kilometer special stage! This is a great start of this long race.

Unfortunately for Boris Gadasin a stone hit the brake disk of his prototype car and crashed it.  Driving through the special stage precisely and gracefully our two production cars showed time of 4m40s – Viktor Volikov and 4m54s – Andrey Cherednikov.

Yury Borovikov as usual was first in the national classification and 9th in the overall classification, having outraced cars of his class as well as some of the production cars.

The spectators enjoyed numerous competitors in the moto and quad groups who attracted a lot of attention driving various vehicles. However, even they were left behind by our famous Kamazes greeted by spectators' screams of joy at their every turn. Eduard Nokolaev was the first one through the SS, while Vladimir Chagin is registered as the mechaniс of the crew.

The short show came to it’s end and tomorrow there is another struggle awaiting the participants – Special Stage of almost 205km and 295 km of road sections. And this time almost all the routes are new and both newbies and old-timers of the competition are in the same position not being familiar with the landscape and bot having the trek logs. The day should be interesting. Our crew’s pattern is pretty clear Boris Gadasin is attacking aiming to shorten his отставание, Boris Novitsky is driving in a comfortable mode – he can outrun his rival easily on his car and Viktor Volikov and Andrey Cherednikov have a similar task – they drive saving their cars. The latter is the usual tactics for standard cars on rough Astrakhan roads.
