portalegre Organisers of the Portalegre Baja, which will be held next week in Portugal, have published the provisional list of entries.

The G-Force Motorsport crew of Boris Gadasin and Vladimir Demyanenko, currently leading in the FIA International Cup for Cross-Country Bajas, will compete under start number 301 (first among the cars). Their closest rivals, 3 points adrift, Miroslav Zapletal and his co-driver Tomas Ourednicek from the Czech Republic, will carry start number 310, as they are not in the FIA prioority list. But another main opponent of the Russians - the Dutch crew of Tonnie van Deijne and Wouter Rosegaar, coming into this rally 4 points behind in the standings, - will have start number 302 on the doors of their black Mitsubishi Pajero.

However the local drivers, who will drive very competitive cars, also shouldn't be underestimated here, in the fight for the race victory. For example, such drivers as Carlos Sousa, competing in the latest Mitsubishi vehicle - the Racing Lancer, or Filipe Campos, competing for the semi-works X-Raid team in their diesel prototype BMW X3, are able to put a good fight on the Cup's contenders. Also competing in the bavarian cars will be Miguel Barbosa and Bernardo Moniz Maia. Among other fast drivers should be mentioned Rui Sousa, driving the Isuzu D-Max prototype of his Prolama team, Helder Oliveira in Nissan Pathfinder and the guest from Hungary Laszlo Palik.

The only representative of the Production category among Priority crews is the duo of winners of the World Cup for Rally-Raids 2009 - russians Artem Varentsov and Roman Elagin. Unfortunately, another russian-speaking crew, that of Fast and Ronin, won't be able to take part in the event due to their business involvements.
